Quote Of The Day
“Why do we feel a need to share our thoughts with other people? For example, why am I writing in this blog right now? Ok, Tyler set it up a link from our website, but who do I think will ever read this? And if someone does read it, do you really care? I mean, I understand that when people are engaged in relationships with others, there is a need to communicate our thoughts and emotions. But why do we write stuff that other people, with whom we have little or no relationship, are supposed to read. I do think that in our fast-paced age the amount of people with which we have relationships has increased, however, I think that those relationships are not quality relationships. I know people in my classes at school for example. I will talk to them in class and maybe if I see them somewhere outside of class. I am probably not going to ever really connect with them. I don’t mind that, I fell like I have enough relationships to be getting along with as it is. My wife, my daughter, my family(who I hardly talk to), people from church. I think I have enough relationships. I have friends who I still count as my friends but I haven’t called them or talked to them since they have had a child. I can think of three guys who I have counted as among my best friends that I haven’t talked to since their wives have had their child. How lame am I? Yet I sit here at my computer and write to an unknown and probably uncaring audience about my thoughts about blogging? WHY? I think that one of the reasons that I am doing this is because we all just need to talk sometimes and have people listen and not interrupt. Blogs are the perfect way to get that done. I talk, you listen. When I am done, you can comment or respond or choose to go away.”—Anonymous

What are dreams?
“…I think our dreams are constructed within networks of associated memories that we do not normally access directly, and which therefore might reflect feelings, moods, and attitudes that we don’t normally have direct conscious access to…”—NOVA
