“Today I save money, though I’m not attached to it like I worried. I think there is something important about living with detachment but still to live responsibly for yourself. The day that money becomes so important to me that I am willing to cut-off relationships and hurt people is the day I should give away all my money. Or even worse, the day that I am making my decisions around what financial gains and losses I will have to take is that day too.
But this post isn’t about money, it’s about detachment and matters of the heart. It’s really about honesty. Sometimes seeking love and intimacy becomes a central goal. So much so, that like money, you can try to store it up, mostly by seeking it out.
